Copyright & DMCA
U3com Sharer hosts user-uploaded content and respects the intellectual property rights of others. If you believe content on this service infringes your copyright, send a takedown notice as described below and it will be actioned promptly.
Filing a takedown notice
Use the abuse report form (choose the copyright category) or email the address listed in security.txt. Your notice must include:
- Identification of the copyrighted work you claim is infringed.
- The exact URL(s) of the infringing material on this service.
- Your name, organization (if any), and contact email.
- A statement that you have a good-faith belief the use is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law.
- A statement, under penalty of perjury, that the information in the notice is accurate and that you are the owner or authorized to act for the owner.
- A physical or electronic signature (typing your full name is sufficient).
What happens next
Valid notices result in removal or blocking of the identified material and, where the uploader is a registered user, a strike on their account. Uploaders are notified of removals through their dashboard.
Counter-notice
If your content was removed in error, you may file a counter-notice containing the removed URL, your contact details, a statement under penalty of perjury that you believe removal was a mistake or misidentification, and consent to the jurisdiction of your local federal court (or the service's jurisdiction if outside the US). Valid counter-notices may result in restoration after 10–14 business days unless the complainant files suit.
Repeat infringers
Accounts that repeatedly post infringing material are suspended or closed. Evasion of a copyright suspension results in permanent removal.
